Parachute is seeking an experienced VP of People to join their team. This full-time position is on-site in Austin, TX.

ROLE


The Vice President of People will be a key member of the executive team, responsible for defining and leading the company's overall people strategy. This role will drive workforce planning, talent acquisition, retention, engagement, and development, ensuring the company's values and mission are embedded across all levels. The VP of People will work collaboratively with senior leadership to create a culture of inclusion, continuous learning, and high performance while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements specific to the plasma donation industry.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive people strategies that align with the company’s overall business goals.

  • Serve as a key member of the executive team, contributing to overall company strategy and decision-making.

  • Drive people-related initiatives that support the growth of the plasma donation centers and workforce expansion across the company.

  • Oversee recruitment strategies to attract qualified professionals in a competitive healthcare market, focusing on roles in operations, medical, and support functions.

  • Lead initiatives to retain talent through employee engagement, competitive benefits, and professional growth opportunities.

  • Build and maintain robust training and development programs that support career progression, leadership growth, and clinical expertise in the plasma donation field.

  • Ensure compliance training meets regulatory standards for plasma collection and healthcare, reinforcing a culture of quality and safety.

  • Oversee compensation strategy, ensuring market competitiveness and alignment with the company's financial goals.

  • Partner with finance and benefits providers to maintain a compelling benefits package that supports employee wellness and work-life balance.

  • Ensure HR policies and practices comply with labor laws and plasma industry regulations, including FDA and OSHA guidelines.

  • Implement robust performance management systems and career development programs.

  • Champion employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive and collaborative workplace culture.

  • Ensure all HR policies, procedures, and practices comply with legal regulations and align with industry standards.

  • Leverage HR analytics to monitor workforce trends, turnover, and engagement metrics, providing insights to executive leadership.

  • Set KPIs to measure the success of HR initiatives and make data-driven adjustments, as necessary.

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing HR team capable of delivering exceptional service and support.

  • Provide coaching and guidance to leaders on best practices in people management and development.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


CANDIDATE


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred.

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience, with a minimum of 5 years in an executive or senior leadership role.

  • Experience in healthcare, biotech, or related sectors is highly preferred.

  • Proven ability to develop and execute a comprehensive HR strategy that aligns with organizational objectives.

  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong understanding of labor laws, healthcare regulations, and compliance requirements related to plasma donation.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience in using HR metrics to inform strategic decisions.

  • Ability to work strategically while also being hands-on when necessary.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and foster relationships at all levels of the organization.


The compensation for this role is $200k+ depending on experience.
