The EGC Group is seeking an experienced Public Relations Manager to join their team. This full-time hybrid position is located in Brooklyn, NY with the expectation of 3 days a week in-office.

ROLE
The EGC Group is seeking an agency side Public Relations Manager, who will be responsible for leading client strategies. The ideal candidate will have experience in a wide range of PR functions, as well as have existing, positive relationships with media professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
Thought leadership and planning surrounding client strategies and campaigns.
Writes press releases and prepares information for the media to promote clients.
Responds to requests for interviews and information from the media.
Establishes and maintains cooperative relationships with consumer, community, employee, and public interest groups.
Plans or directs the development of programs to maintain favorable public and stakeholder views of the organization’s agenda and accomplishments.
Coaches client reps in effective communication with the public and employees.
Analyzes the organization’s objectives, promotional policies, and needs to build public relations strategies that influence public opinion and promote products, ideas, services.
Maintains the organization’s image and identity.
Drafts speeches and schedules interviews.
Prepares and edits organizational materials, including employee newsletters and other publications for internal and external audiences.
Collaborates with clients to identify trends and evaluate advertising to determine whether it is in sync with the organization’s public relation efforts.
Identify and organize promotional events such as press conferences, conferences and speaking engagements.
CANDIDATE
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in a PR or communications role.
Have established and positive relationships with media professionals.
BA in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, English, Marketing or a related field is preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail.
Ideal candidate should have a business development background, including pitching and winning new clients autonomously.

The compensation for this role is approximately $200k, negotiable based on experience.
