Intact Technology is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to join their team. This full-time position is based out of their newly renovated Reston, VA HQ but will be primarily remote.

ROLE


The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for the financial well-being of the company. This position is a critical, highly visible role working with Executives, and senior leaders in a culture of transparency and growth. The CFO is accountable for the administrative, financial, and risk management operations of the company, to include the development of a financial strategy, metrics tied to that strategy, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results. The CFO will lead the finance team and strategically collaborate with leaders to inform and drive business initiatives, act as a trusted counsel and advisor, and have the demonstrated business and financial acumen required for the position.


Core functions:

  • Teach, train, and ensure that the finance team has clarity, autonomy, and results (C.A.R.)

  • Strategic financial planning (budget and forecast)

  • EBITDA optimization

  • Tax optimization

  • IT support and internal systems

  • Capital and capital partner management

  • Insurance risk management


Responsibilities:

  • Assist in formulating the company's future direction and supporting tactical initiatives.

  • Develop financial and tax strategies.

  • Manage the capital management and budgeting processes.

  • Develop, track, and make accessible performance measures that support the company's strategic direction.

  • Develop financial organizational strategies by contributing financial and accounting information, analysis, and recommendations to strategic thinking and direction.

  • Communicate and adhere to applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.

  • Support functional leadership by making financial and operational information intuitive and easily accessible.

  • Establish financial operational strategies and critical measurements by evaluating financial trends and markets.

  • Identify, evaluate, and present acquisition and expansion opportunities as appropriate.

  • Identify opportunities for improvements, cost reduction, and system enhancements.

  • Develop financial strategies by forecasting capital, facilities, and staff requirements.

  • Identify monetary resources and monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results.

  • Initiate corrective actions and process improvements.

  • Minimize the exposure and impact of variances.

  • Maximize return on invested funds by identifying investment opportunities and maintaining relationships with the investment community.

  • Prepare regular reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually) to assess performance and inform operational decisions.

  • Develop and manage budget and reporting including monthly budget vs. actual analysis for the business and functional areas.

  • Update job knowledge by remaining aware of new rules and regulations.


CANDIDATE


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration. Preference will be given to candidates with an MBA in Finance and the Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designations.

  • Minimum of 10 years of hands-on financial management experience in government contracting with a strong working knowledge of all types of government contracts.

  • Experience leading the finance function of a business through rapid growth and exit.

  • Minimum 8 years of experience pricing government contracts.

  • Firm understanding of all state and federal tax laws.

  • Proven experience successfully completing all types of financial audits including DCAA.

  • Experience in partnering with Directors and executive team members.

  • Must possess a high level of written and oral communication skills.

  • Proven track record of Strategic Planning and Quality Management.

  • Ability to promote process improvement and cultivate new procedures.

  • Experience forecasting a variety of financial models.

The compensation for this role is $275k-$325k plus bonus.
