Parachute is seeking an experienced Director, Learning and Development to join their team. This full-time position is located in Austin, TX, with a hybrid in-office model.

ROLE
You will draw on your years of experience to create a learning development program, focused on the design and development of innovative, learner-centered, and impactful learning experiences that meets the company’s strategic business objectives. You will drive the usage of learning technology to establish content design standards, templates, and workflows, utilizing eLearning, video-on-demand, instructor-led, and other content as needed.
Responsibilities:
Build and manage training and curriculum initiatives including eLearning, video-on-demand, and instructor led content to increase engagement and overall impact
Develop team members' skills in instructional design, writing, visual design, and course authoring tools (related to the production of digital assets)
Monitor industry trends and present recommendations for on-demand education, including topics of interest and delivery methods
Serve as an innovative change agent for continuous improvement through improved/enhanced methodologies and technologies
Identify and maintain training solutions that support the business strategy, as well as the product and curriculum roadmaps, in a scalable manner
Cultivate and implement new models and design templates, ensuring the best experience for the learner, reducing development time, and ensuring standards and consistency
Be the voice of the learner, ensuring their needs are at the forefront of their content efforts
CANDIDATE
Qualifications and Experience:
You have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
You have 10+ years of experience in instructional design and corporate training, with a minimum of 5+ years experience in technology and systems training, and 3+ years leading training teams
Expertise in instructional design methodologies and adult learning theories
Ability to lead, prioritize and balance multiple on-going projects and adhere to project schedules
Ability to work collaboratively and establish excellent relationships
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Strong understanding of Learning Management Systems
A continuous development mentality to explore innovative technologies, capabilities, and methods for effective adult training
Experience presenting with MS Teams
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using tools such as Articulate Studio, Canva, Descript, or Microsoft PowerPoint
Experience using a Learning Management System such as Absorb
Experience working in the plasma industry or other regulated environment is preferred, but not required
Experience using ClickUp or similar project management software
The compensation for this role is $135k.
