Inkwell is looking for a new Head of Talent Operations to join our leadership team.  This full-time role is remote, but the ideal candidate will be local to the New York City area.

ROLE

As the Head of Talent Operations, you will own the end-to-end recruiting experience for each of the Inkwell stakeholders -- candidates, clients and our growing community of referrers, The Well.  You will design, implement and continuously iterate on policies, processes and product offerings that increase the efficiency of our internal recruiting operations, improve the quality and diversity of our referral network, and ultimately drive successful and lasting placements for our clients.  In partnership with the CTO and the Head of Product and Operations, you will serve as the recruiting subject-matter expert to inform the transformation of our existing business practices into a scalable SaaS subscription product that utilizes AI and ML to replace traditional recruiting models with a highly intelligent, automated executive match-making digital product.  The Head of Talent Operations will build trust and credibility for Inkwell by successfully connecting excellent humans with exceptional career opportunities.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruiting: 

  • Support the CEO and Founder in identifying potential new clients and attend new business calls.

  • Lead the entire recruiting function for Inkwell, from client management, to candidate flow, and referral engagement.

  • Own all client relationships, from kick-off through placement and ongoing retention.

  • Serve as the point-of-contact for all client needs, including scoping roles, drafting job descriptions, promoting searches, sourcing, screening and presenting candidates.

  • Source candidates through the Inkwell database, referral network and traditional sourcing channels.

  • Proactively and consistently solicit feedback from clients, referrers and candidates and incorporate their input into future processes, product features and experiences.

  • Establish recruiting KPIs for the business that compliment product and growth goals.

  • Regularly track and report on these metrics to the CEO and wider company.

  • Curate and cultivate The Well by recruiting qualified members from diverse communities and designing engaging and thoughtful experiences to increase the engagement of the community.

  • Partner with the Head of Product and Operations and the CTO to determine a cost-effective, customizable and scalable database solution.  Support the transition to the database and maintain pristine and accurate records.


Recruiting Operations:

  • Partner with the Head of Product and Operations to audit, redesign/create and continuously iterate on the recruiting processes and systems that underpin Inkwell’s operations.

  • Review, update and organize all current and historical recruiting documentation.  With the Head of Product and Operations, establish an ongoing storage solution and maintenance plan for pertinent documents and policies.

  • Improve the short-term efficiency, consistency and quality of the recruiting operations function, and use those learnings to inform the design and development of the technology platform and digital product offerings that will power the new SaaS model.

  • Manage a lean team consisting of contract-based recruiters and part-time recruiting operations and database specialists.



Requirements

CANDIDATE

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.

  • At least 7 years’ EXPERIENCE leading end-to-end recruiting processes with at least 3 years of experience on the agency side.

  • Proven experience effectively negotiating business deals and candidate placements.

  • Track record of successfully placing Executive-level candidates at top companies.

  • Foundational knowledge of recruiting tools and related applications, including ATS and search channels such as LinkedIn.

  • Experience developing social media and marketing content is a plus.

  • Experience at a high-growth company or start-up experience is a plus
