Responsibilities:

Work closely with the company's CEO and leadership team on business strategy, reporting and performance management, company culture and corporate development.
Work closely with the Hong Kong based company CFO and broader Finance team to develop the financial infrastructure, controls and systems to support growth of the company businesses on a standalone basis.
Play a leading role in obtaining necessary regulatory licenses for the company.  This is likely to require direct interface with regulators and being subject to ‘fit and proper’-like due diligence.
Direct the company’s financial planning initiatives and lead build out of strong practices around Financial Control, Financial Planning & Analysis, Risk Management and Corporate Development, aligned with standards set across all of the company subsidiaries.
Implement necessary systems, data analytics, processes, internal controls and policies to support efficient growth and management of the business – leverage the company group standards.
Demonstrate strong financial stewardship. Direct resource allocation, monitor company expenditures and establish a robust vendor management framework.
Direct all aspects of accounting operations, overseeing all transactions related to general ledger, receivables, payables and payroll. Set accounting policy – leverage the company group standards.
Oversee internal and external financial reporting.
Analyze company's financial results with respect to profits, trends, costs and compliance with budgets.
Develop and coordinate all relationships with lending/financial institutions.
Manage relationships with insurance providers and ensure compliance.
Manage relationships with external advisors including auditors, consulting teams and CPA firms.
Play a leading role in managing financial communications with the company CEO, Executive Committee and the Board of Directors.  Where required, lead communication with current and potential investors.
Support corporate M&A opportunity evaluation with financial and strategic input.
Manages all tax planning and compliance with all required federal, state, local, payroll, property and other applicable taxes.
Advises key members of senior management on financial planning budgeting, cash flow, investment priorities, and policy matters.
Other duties as assigned.

Experience and Qualifications:

Must have held a senior Finance role, CFO preferred, in a U.S. public or private company.
Technology/Fintech/Media/Digital Advertising industry experience preferred.
Experience with advertising- and user-based revenue models.
10+ years of finance and risk management experience in a leadership position, ideally in a multinational environment involving teams in global locations.
Experience working with regulators and responding to regulatory reporting requirements.
Desirable to have experience in a customer-facing role with commercial and P&L accountability.
Desire to work in a dynamic start-up, and comfort working with ambiguity. Must be willing to build the team and capabilities from the ground up.
Experience with capital raising/secondary market offerings will be beneficial.
A team leader who can positively and productively impact both strategic and tactical finance and administration initiatives.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate across geographies and organizational boundaries. Willingness to have weekly calls with Hong Kong outside of normal working hours.
Entrepreneurial spirit with excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Strong executive presence and presentation skills.
Highly intellectual capabilities, particularly in analytical and strategic contexts.
Demonstrated ability to translate strong technical capabilities into commercial judgement.
Understanding of and proficiency in US GAAP and international accounting standards, and good comprehension of Sarbanes-Oxley.
CPA and MBA, a plus.
