Build a team of lawyers to manage and oversee all aspects of the company from a legal perspective
Focus on issues directly relevant to user generated content, including copyright and content moderation, as well as cryptocurrencies.
Stay up-to-date on relevant U.S. and international laws and regulations, especially those related to copyright, privacy, content, and consumer protection.
Work closely with the Product team to help shape existing and develop new features to meet their user experience and legal compliance goals.
Develop a deep understanding of the company's products and business, have an ability to guide others with clear, practical advice in a fast-paced environment.
Establish and earn buy in for internal corporate policies.
Oversee and develop the contract management and procurement systems.
Other duties as assigned.
Juris Doctor (JD) degree and membership in good standing in a state bar.
US-qualified attorney with a minimum of 8 to 12 years of experience with social media and content moderation.
Expertise in international copyright laws and social media.
Broad experience with general corporate, commercial, IT/IP, regulatory and contentious matters.
High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
Skills to include: collaborative, flexible, self-motivated, curious, creative, and clear communicators (both written and verbal).
Experience dealing with technology matters relating to blockchain, cybersecurity and software licensing are a plus.
