Inkwell is currently recruiting for a remote Senior Strategist with extensive experience in estate planning to join a top Private Wealth firm. This person will provide sophisticated estate planning to high net worth ($10 million +) clients, develop ownership plans for clients with family businesses (including designing plans for governance, ownership succession of business interests, administration and safekeeping of family assets in the event of death), prepare estate tax estimates, develop strategies to minimize taxes and meet with clients on a regular basis. This position requires moderate travel.

EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Juris Doctor Degree.
Master’s degree in Tax or Certified Public Accountant a plus.
7 - 10 years of experience in general business, finance, taxation and/or trusts and estates within a professional office environment (such as a law firm or accounting firm).
CFA charter-holder, CFP or equivalent designation a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
Provide sophisticated estate planning to high net worth ($10 million +) clients.
Develop ownership plans for clients with family businesses, including designing plans for governance, ownership succession of business interests, administration and safekeeping of family assets in the event of death.
Meet with clients on a regular basis and review and develop strategies for estate planning; prepare estate tax estimates; develop strategies to minimize taxes.
Design and outline documents necessary to implement clients’ succession, charitable and estate plans.
Coordinate and oversee preparation of legal documents by clients’ existing attorneys or by attorneys engaged by the Company on the clients’ behalf.
Provide ongoing business advice to clients regarding entity selection and design, transaction structure, and business accounting.
Respond to ongoing substantive inquiries from clients on a variety of topics, including tax planning, annual exclusion gifting, charitable giving, retirement planning and other subjects.
Effective delegation and project management skills, including the ability to delegate, monitor and evaluate projects to be performed by Strategists, Trust Officers, Administrators, and outside attorneys, accountants, appraisers, and other professionals.
