Novata is seeking an experienced Head of Marketing who blends marketing strategy and vision with demonstrated leadership to support their high-growth B2B startup. As a member of the management team, you will be responsible for the Company’s core marketing and communications strategy and execution with a focus on further strengthening the company’s awareness, perception, and reputation to drive growth. They’re looking for a dynamic and creative individual with a proven track record of building world-class brands from the ground up with a customer-first mindset at every touchpoint. This role will drive the vision, strategy, and execution for all elements of an integrated end-to-end marketing function, including media, brand, product and solution marketing, content and thought leadership, campaigns, demand generation, digital marketing, events, public relations, strategic communications, and more. Important: This is a hands-on role! This position is for a talented leader who is comfortable in both developing strategy and executing and achieving goals.
Team: Build, grow, and manage a dynamic, performance-driven marketing team; passionately recruit (and retain) the industry’s best talent, ensuring their growth and development
Strategy & Budget: Own the strategic thinking, development, ideation and budgets for best-in-class integrated marketing strategies to build awareness and growth opportunities among target audiences in line with revenue and business goals
Execution: lead marketing initiatives, including demand generation, campaigns, product marketing, content marketing, communications/PR, events, insights, and analytics.
Public relations: Drive strategy for industry and media exposure including press releases, media coverage, award submissions, and speaking engagements
Content marketing: create and supervise the production of marketing and sales materials, company blog and newsletter, and partner with sales on content for customer engagement campaigns
Lead generation: build a lead generation engine to feed the sales department with new business opportunities (from contact database consolidation to tracking through definition of inbound and outbound activities)
Events: support creation and development of owned events/webinars, and own sponsorship and participation in industry and partner events
Market Intelligence: conduct market intelligence analysis to best position the company and its solutions to be competitive
Insights & Analytics: Measure the performance of all marketing team activities and campaigns, assess ROI against KPIs, and refine activities & strategies to achieve them
10+ year track record as a marketing leader in a high growth B2B (ideally SaaS), $100M+ revenue company
5+ years of formal leadership and people management experience
Proven experience and success across all disciplines of marketing (product, branding, growth, strategy, social media, communications, business development)
Expertise in brand tracking, qualitative and quantitative research, creative testing, campaign analysis, and leading a roadmap of insights-driven marketing
Deep industry and market knowledge in the financial sector (ideally private equity) and/or ESG and sustainability
Experience growing and leading teams in dynamic environments, establishing infrastructure and culture for a high performance team, working with external agencies and contractors
Experience creating and managing a budget, building forecasts, and delivering against monthly targets
Excellent verbal and written communicator
Strong team player and leader with the ability to influence, work cross-functionally, build relationships with key stakeholders and thrive in highly collaborative and fast paced environments
