Korrus is seeking an experienced CFO to join their team. This full-time position is flexible in-office or remote, West Coast Hours preferred; HQ in Los Angeles.

Join their executive team in developing the strategy to support rapid growth and plans for an IPO. As an integral part of the leadership team, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be responsible for strategic financial planning, modeling, building out a strong finance and accounting organization, and being a core stakeholder in developing the company's short and long-term strategy, as well as leading activities in preparation for the company's Initial Public Offering (IPO). You will have ownership over capital funding, investor relations, FP&A, and will ultimately serve as a partner to the CEO in setting proper goals for the business as it grows in its expanding marketplace. This role brings you the opportunity to firmly apply your stamp to their organization, now and well into the future.
The primary responsibility of the CFO will be to drive a 4-5x incremental valuation of the company in the public markets. This will be done through many of the traditional responsibilities of a CFO including but not limited to:
Serve as a key spokesperson for the company to the investment community, position the company in a compelling way to current and prospective public company investors.
Develop and maintain excellent relationships and effectively represent company interests with stockholders, financial institutions, banking community, and the investment community.
Communicate regularly to institutional investors and analysts with detailed operating insight, credibility, and candor.
Arrange for debt financing and assist in equity financing to ensure that Korrus is represented as a premium brand and is valued accordingly.
Assist in formulating the company's future direction and supporting tactical initiatives.
Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans that drive the company through innovation guided by sound financial practices.
Play a key role in the company’s M&A strategy, including identifying target acquisitions, participating in diligence processes, and overseeing successful post-acquisition integration.
Financial Information / Risk management:
Personally review and approve all Form 8-K, 10-K, and 10-Q filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission (when/if the company is publicly held).
Report financial results to the audit committee and board of directors.
Understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile.
Monitor all open legal issues involving the company and legal issues affecting the industry.
Play a key role in negotiating all key contracts.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or business administration
Strong investor relations and banking experience.
10+ years of progressively responsible experience in a leadership role within a major company or division of a large corporation.
Strong financial and accounting background, including an understanding of profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow management and general finance and budgeting.
Experience with corporate governance.
Experience in partnering with an executive team.
Proven negotiation skills.
Ability to understand new issues quickly and make wise decisions.
Ability to inspire confidence and create trust.
Ability to work under pressure, plan personal workload effectively and delegate.
Demonstrate a high level of written and verbal communication skills.
Master’s degree in finance, accounting or business administration.
Strong preference will be given to candidates with prior public company experiences (preferably IPO’s).
Proven background in consumer products.
